Omundu Magazine
The leading culture magazine

Write for Us

Omundu Magazine is always looking for sharp, committed writers who care about Namibian stories and the communities that carry them.

We welcome pitches from journalists, essayists, community voices, cultural commentators, lawyers, farmers, activists, elders and anyone with a story worth telling. You do not need a journalism degree. You need a story, the facts to back it up and the honesty to tell it straight.

WHAT WE PUBLISH

We publish across all our categories — News, Politics, Culture, Entertainment, Sport, Farming, Obituaries, Crime and Justice, and Ombazu Corner. We are particularly interested in:

- Investigative pieces on governance, land, justice and accountability in Namibia
- Cultural stories that document heritage, language and identity
- Diaspora voices — the experience of being Namibian abroad
- Farming and rural community stories that rarely make the national press
- Obituaries that celebrate lives lived fully and honestly
- Opinion pieces with a clear, argued position

HOW TO PITCH

Send your pitch to omundumagazine@gmail.com with the subject line: PITCH — [Your Story Title]

Include:
- A brief summary of the story (2-3 sentences)
- Why it matters to Namibian and diaspora readers
- Your name and a brief bio
- Any relevant links or background material

We read every pitch. We will respond within 7 days.

WHAT WE PAY

Omundu is an independent publication. We currently publish on a volunteer and contribution basis as we grow. We are committed to paying contributors fairly as our revenue grows and will communicate this openly with our community.
